This chimney cover is made of 100% stainless steel and will give superb protection for your flue both from the weather and from animals who might try to enter your house. The 24-gauge single piece hood has a roll formed drip edge and scalloped corners. The 16-gauge base gives sturdy support and the 18-gauge expanded steel mesh is impervious to even determined animals. The cover has a 5' x 9' outside tile size and will fit outside tile dimensions from 3.5' x 7.5' to 5.5' x 9.5'. The unit mounts on the outside of the chimney for more free air space and the mesh is turned inward at the base to irm contact is made and any openings around the tile are closed. Slotted hex-head mounting bolts complete the installation.
